Info:
Many people will be quick to admit that “the glory has departed” from 21st century Christianity (1 Sam. 4:21-22, Ezek. 11:22-25), but why? What does this affirmation mean? What are the implications? What is this “glory” and why did it depart?
"The Glory of God"
What is that to you, my reader? According to Holy Scripture, "the Glory of God" means something very particular. In fact, there are rules of holiness and codes of conduct that determine whether or not "the Glory of God" does depart from or return to the Church, just as "the Glory of God" departed from and returned to the Tabernacle and Temple in the Old Testament.
