This message was given as an exhortation to pray just prior to a men's prayer meeting at The Church of Wells. In the light of this message I ask you, are you wedded to the glory of God? Is your heart utterly married to God's purpose to glorify His Name in Christ Jesus, in you? Have you seen the gloriousness of God's grace in Christ? Are you enamored and enraptured with the beauty of it? At David's best moment of utterance, he conveyed his desire for prayer in these words, "One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the House of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in His Temple" (Ps. 27:4)! Does your heart gasp in agreement to David's resolution, "ONE THING HAVE I DESIRED!"? With hands clean and a heart pure, have you beheld the glory of God that David longs after? This message is a charge to true believers to own their God-given calling and commission - to be divorced from the world and married to God's glory! Please, dear viewer, give the message a listen and examine your life-goals and aspirations. If the "sure mercies of David" have seized you, this "ONE THING" would be evident in your life with blazing clarity for all to behold.
