Poetry by Sean Morris (Elder)
"Peace with God"
"Peace, be still"! Heart, be still! (Mk. 4:39, Isa. 57:20-21)
Know that the LORD is the Governor of thy will. (Ps. 51:10, 24:4)
I stand amazed! My heart obeyed!
Because all my iniquities on Christ were laid. (2 Cor. 5:2)
It ne'er can stop! Oh heart, forget not! (2 Pet. 1:9)
He de-throned from within the old monarch of sin. (Rom. 5:21)
And now, at last! In abiding stedfast! (Rom. 5:2)
Because the LORD is before me I have forgotten the past. (Php. 3:13)
Glory to GOD! All angels applaud! (Lk. 2:!4, Eph. 3:9-10)
Sinners are transformed by the nature of GOD! (2 Pet. 1:2-3, 2 Cor. 5:17)
Sinner, hear me! Believe and be free! (Jn. 8:31-32)
He is the propitiation for the sins of the whole world. (1 Jn. 2:2)
Look, mankind! In Christ, you'll find!
Grace within, pardon for sin, reconciliation between GOD-and-man!
"What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?" (Rom. 6:1-2)
"And hereby we do know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.
He that saith, I know Him, and keepeth not His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. (1 Jn. 2:3-4)
