Poetry by Sean Morris (Elder)
“Pray Without Ceasing”
Needs all around, enough in multitude to stifle and astound,
A love filled saint can be confused, rebound in anxiety, and under pressure confound.
Not knowing what need to fill, and which to neglect, takes a walk of prayer and a heart circumspect (Eph. 5:15-17).
Truly we do need wisdom to fall from above as a good gift for us all, a gift of wise love (James. 1:5, Php. 1:9-10).
To do what needs to be done at every moment in the day (Col. 1:10), till all is accomplished before on a pillow our heads lay (Ecc. 5:12).
We must see our brethren in need, then in grace filled decision take heed,
But sometimes choosing which need, or seeing the need at all, is a difficult comprehension;
It takes consideration and spiritual attention!
Then let us, before God, in all our ways make mention (Prov. 3:5-6, 16:3).
Needs all around, enough in multitude to stifle and astound,
A love filled saint can be confused, rebound in anxiety, and under pressure confound.
Not knowing what need to fill, and which to neglect, takes a walk of prayer and a heart circumspect (Eph. 5:15-17).
