Disclaimer: In the sermon above, preached in 1963, Rolfe Barnard prophesied that he would be used in a mighty upcoming revival of biblical Christianity, that would happen right in the teeth of the rise of Antichrist. He expounds upon Isaiah 4 in the beginning of this sermon wherein he is sharing about this burden. It is evident, when studying the life of Barnard, that no such revival happened between 1963 and the day that he died, on January 21, 1969. Notwithstanding, we pray that our God, who moves in mysterious ways, will fulfill this presage regardless. Barnard shared the following details about this desired expectation, between 28 and 29 minutes into this sermon, saying, “I believe he's gonna use me, just a little bit, to make it possible. I believe its gonna come to pass by the Lord Jesus Christ reasserting and reinforcing his headship, his discipline, his authority in the local congregation. I believe the Lord's gonna split our congregations wide open and there's one way to split a crowd quicker than any other way, EXERCISE AUTHORITY. You'll either bow to it or you'll rebel, won't you. A child will either submit to the authority of his father and mother or he'll rebel, is that right? A citizen will either submit to the authority of the government or he'll rebel, is that right? A human being will submit to the authority of Jesus Christ or he won't (in this life), is that right? And the best index to the character of a nation, a home, a congregation, or an individual is their reaction to constituted authority, isn't that right" (Rolfe Barnard)? Our prayer is that the Lord would not let such words of this faithful prophet fall to the ground, but fulfill them in your day and mine!

Disclaimer: We believe that this sermon, "What is a Church", is a must-hear: not that we agree with everything that Barnard teaches in it. For instance, we do not agree on his seeming stance toward female preachers therein, yet we do agree with his heart in this message, that all in God's Church are to be burdened about the Great Commission and give themselves to share their faith according to the ability that they are able to, under the discipline of a local church. To begin to understand how Christianity of the Western World, has fallen from a New Testament understanding of the "Church", we believe that this sermon is vital and imperative. May you be blessed in hearing this anointed man of God, and may your eyes be opened to understand that the Church of Jesus Christ is not a building, but the spiritual building of the living God with a Commission to evangelize the world.
The Funeral Sermon of Rolfe Barnard
Above is the "Funeral Sermon" of the late despised, yet faithful, evangelist Rolfe Barnard, a man after God's own heart. He preached repentance and faith for the remission of sins, in the wilderness of a dying American church, between the 1920s and the 1960s in the power of the Spirit of God: a system of Church-ianity that was already becoming hostile to God.
