"Spiritual Adultery Against God"
"For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish:
thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee." (Psalm 73:27)
Blind multitudes of Satan’s throng (2 Cor. 4:3-4),
Walk slow and steady under delusions strong (Eph. 2:2-3).
Their callused heart is so thick and every motive is desperately sick (Rom. 8:6-8).
But Thou, Tearless Christian, art thine knees not callused?
Is thy heart not overwhelmed (Rom. 9:1-3) by their malice?
Be afflicted, mourn, and weep, adultery at thy door does creep (James 4:4-10)!
Thy Husbands heart is ever so deep (1 Cor. 2:10) and thy heart is crooked, amiss (James 4:3), and asleep (Matt. 25:1-13).
On thy knees, cast off thy besetting sin (Heb. 12:1-2) and He will raise thee again (James 4:10).
Let every moment be expended (2 Cor. 12:15), with a single eye thy cross attend!
Thy ways, thy wickedness let thy sowing amend (Gal. 6:7-9), and tune thine ear to heavens command and send (1 Peter 2:9-10)!
