The Only Begotten Son

John 3:16 could be the most abused Scripture of the past two centuries. Amazingly, these precious words from God are found in the mouths of ferocious wolves in sheep's clothing everywhere! Consequentially, so is the sacred divine title of Jesus Christ, "the Only Begotten Son". These are perilous times (2 Tim. 3:1-12). While we can be sure that God will punish all violators of the 3rd Commandment (Ex. 20:7), much damage is being done to the Name of God in the process. An odious noise of blasphemy worldwide has discouraged the hearts of true believers from grasping the vital truth contained in this dramatic and unprecedented divine statement, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (Jn. 3:16). It is my prayer that the remnant of believers in the Last Days would rediscover the meaning of this divine title and courageously proclaim it louder than the chorus of blasphemers that occupy the pulpits of Modern Christianity.
