"Shall I Repine?"
For so our Saviour walked the road to calvary, Smitten mocked to scorn. ( Luke 23:63-65)
And shall I repine? at the words of my saviour "As I am so are mine". (Matthew 10:24)
For the joy set before Him he went forth despising the shame. (Hebrews 12:2)
Shall I be turned to ashes at the words of men's mouth that are as a devouring flame? (James 3:6)
For saith the Spirit ye have not resisted unto blood. (Hebrews 12:4)
Shall the slanders of the dragon consume me as a flood? (Revelation 12:15-16)
Or shall I seek to be a man pleaser ? and bury the help of my ebenezer? ( Galatians 1:10)
Nay my brethren for so we were called to the death all day long. ( Romans 8:36)
One day in glory we shall sing the saints conquering song. ( Revelation 19: 1-2)
But for now as He was in the world so ought we to be. (1 John 2:6)
And wear our thorned crowns as shameless as He. (John 19: 2-3)
And as the fine garments of our dignity are parted asunder by men of malignity, (John 19:23)
May we have the heart of thee Almighty the Faithful and True
As our cry resounds to heaven, Father forgive them for they know not what they do. (Luke 23:34)
And as we wash our garments white for the Bride Grooms coming day. ( Revelation 7:14)
Though our brethren, the children of our mother, thus cast us away, (Song of Solomon 1:6)
We shall be as the Shulamite and say I am blackened by hatred yet comely as day. ( Song of Solomon 1:5)
